Dame June Whitfield, Absolutely Fabulous star, dies at 93 years of age


Dame June Whitfield-celebrated in BBC sitcom Terry and June for her comic roles and cult favorite Absolutely Fabulous-died at 93 years of age.

For six decades, the London-born actress has been a regular fixture on television and radio, featuring Carry On movies, Hancock’s Half Hour, and even Friends.

She appeared in EastEnders at the age of 89 as Sister Ruth, a nun with a Kat Moon secret. She was made a dame when she was 92.

Her agent said on Friday night she died peacefully.
